How to Upgrade or Add More Email Accounts
At Vivint Host, we make it easy to scale your email needs as your business grows. Whether you want to upgrade your current email plan or add more email accounts, follow the steps below for a quick and smooth process.
Upgrading Your Email Plan
If you're on a Vivint Host email plan and need more resources, here’s how to upgrade:
Log in to Your Vivint Host Account:
Visit the Vivint Host client area and sign in with your credentials.
Navigate to Email Services:
- Go to Services > Email Hosting.
- Find your current email subscription and click Manage.
Select "Upgrade Plan":
- Click the Upgrade Plan option (as shown in the screenshot below).
If you upgrade mid-billing cycle, you’ll only be charged for the remaining days at the new rate. After the current cycle ends, your subscription will renew at the full price.
Compare & Choose a New Plan
- Review the features of each plan to pick the best fit.
- The upgrade cost will adjust if you’re adding extra mailboxes.
Confirm & Complete Payment
- Check the summary (domain, new plan, pricing) and proceed to checkout.
- Once confirmed, your upgrade will be active immediately.
Distribute Storage (If Needed)
- After upgrading, allocate storage space among your email accounts.
Note:
- Downgrading requires assistance from our Support Team.
- Some legacy plan upgrades may also need manual support intervention.
Adding a New Email Account in cPanel
Need an extra email address? Follow these steps:
Log in to cPanel
- Access your Vivint Host cPanel (via your client dashboard or direct login).
- Go to the Email section > Email Accounts.
Click "+Create"
- Select your domain (if you have multiple).
- Enter the desired email username (e.g., support@yourdomain.com).
Set a Password
- Choose a strong password or provide an alternate email for setup instructions.
Finalize & Access Webmail
- Click +Create to finish.
- To access webmail, click Check Email next to the new account.
